Football Without Values? Keeping Competitive, Opposing European Super League

The proposal to create a European Super League is a real threat to the integrity of the game and its organic link with community.

One reason why the competitive culture of the game should be preserved is colourfully expressed in the poem about Leeds United honouring their defeat of Manchester City (one of the clubs associated with the proposal), by USA Brooklyn-based podcaster – watch 'Ode to Bielsa's Boys'.

Here is a very good summary of the European Super League proposal: ‘Football's new €3.5bn Super League explained’ by TIFO. And here a decisive opposition to the proposed European Super League by Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher.
